ABOUT ALSPPC
We shoot pistols at steel and paper targets "against the clock". This style of shooting is used in the NRA Bianchi Cup, Steel Challenge, and all matches run by the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) and the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC).

IPSC scoring is based on speed, accuracy and power (bullet weight times velocity). Targets are from 2-50 yards, with most targets from 7-25 yards. Courses of fire are diverse and require many different shooting skills, including freestyle, reloading, movement, use of barricades, prone, strong hand only, etc. We also have pistol steel matches that are scored on time only and '3-gun' events for pistol, rifle, and shotgun scored using IPSC rules.
